Terms of Service
Last updated August 18, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and JumpOut for the JumpOut iPhone app and related websites (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using JumpOut, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What JumpOut does
JumpOut is an alarm clock with no snooze. When an alarm fires, you must open the app and complete the jump challenge you configured — a set number of physical jumps with the phone in hand — before the alarm fully turns off.
Jump at a moderate, sustainable pace. The app is designed to count real jumps, not shakes or phone pumps.
JumpOut is a consumer wake-up tool. It is not a medical device, not a substitute for professional care, and not intended for life-safety, medication, or emergency wake-ups.
Alarms are not guaranteed
Phone settings, Focus modes, Low Power Mode, Do Not Disturb, silent switches (on older iOS versions), force-quitting the app, missing notification permission, or iOS changes can delay or silence an alarm. We work to make ringing reliable, including system alarms on supported iOS versions, but we do not warrant that every alarm will sound on time or at all.
You are responsible for keeping notification and alarm permissions enabled and for testing an alarm after you set it.
Jumping and safety
Completing a challenge means jumping. That involves physical effort and a fall risk. Only use JumpOut if you can safely jump in your space — watch ceilings, furniture, pets, and other people. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or injury.
JumpOut is not responsible for injuries, property damage, or missed obligations that result from jumping, from an alarm that did not ring, or from using the app.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old. Provide accurate information and keep your password (or Apple / Google sign-in) under your control.
You may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, appears fraudulent, or creates risk for other users or the Service.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse JumpOut, including by trying to bypass the jump challenge in a way that attacks or disrupts the Service, probing our API beyond normal app use, impersonating others, or using JumpOut for anything illegal.
Reverse engineering is only allowed where the law gives you that right.
Intellectual property
JumpOut, the app, its design, and related marks belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store rules.
Apple, Google, and other third-party names belong to them.
App Store and sign-in providers
If you download JumpOut from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you sign in with Apple or Google, you must follow those providers’ terms as well.
Fees
JumpOut Pro is optional paid access to keep scheduling and ringing alarms after a 7-day free trial:
• Yearly: $19.99 per year after a 7-day free trial (auto-renewable)
• Monthly: $2.99 per month after a 7-day free trial (auto-renewable)
• Lifetime: $49.99 once. Apple does not offer a StoreKit trial on one-time purchases, so choosing Lifetime starts a 7-day in-app trial first; you can buy Lifetime during or after that trial.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Yearly and monthly plans renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in Apple ID subscription settings. Unused trial time is forfeited if you buy during a trial. Restore purchases uses your Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by JumpOut.
If we change prices later, we will update this section and the App Store product listing. Existing subscribers keep their current plan until they cancel or Apple notifies them of a change.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that you will wake up on time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, JumpOut and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or from an alarm that did not ring.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for JumpOut in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $20.
Some places do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or another region with mandatory consumer protections, those protections still apply and you may bring claims in your home courts.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top and post the new version in the app and at https://api.jumpout.net/terms. If you keep using JumpOut after an update, you accept the revised Terms.
